Day Four
Today’s my fourth day without caffeine, and most of the withdrawal symptoms are gone. I had a headache for three days, could barely stay awake on the first day and have been feeling a bit off.
But my constant hum of background anxiety has mostly subsided.
My guess is that caffeine is having a much larger effect on mushrooming levels of anxiety than people realize. It remains to be seen whether cutting out caffeine entirely is worth it or if I’d have gotten the same benefits from limiting myself to a cup of green tea a day.
