The ethics of reporting on mental health
It’s obvious Kanye West isn’t well. He has said that he suffers from bi-polar, and from many of his recent public actions and statements, it’s clear something is off.
At some point reporting the latest outrageous thing he’s done becomes unethical. The press wouldn’t mock someone with a physical disability struggling to navigate the world, yet it’s apparently just fine to watch Kanye West implode.
There’s a fine line between the newsworthy actions of a public figure and unethical reporting.
