Temptation and companies

The point of Apple’s premium cut on the App store is that, Apple — an ostensibly respectable company — maintains high standards.

But then stuff like this comes out. Apps for gambling addiction have ads for gambling apps in them. Apple is making money off of this.

Apple is making tons of money off of sleazy in-app purchases in games, questionable gambling apps and outright frauds.

What’s baffling is that there is entirely a choice. Apple isn’t hurting for money. They could keep their high standards and charge a premium price, which I’d happily pay or they could become indistinguishable from Google and Facebook.

Given the constant pushing of Apple services, I’m tending to think the later is going to be the case.
